Dermal filler
Dermal fillers may be used to sculpt the chin and jawline. Many times this is done to achieve a more feminine or masculine chin and jawline.
The hyaluronic acid fillers used for cosmetic treatments are similar to the HA in your body tissues, there’s no need for a sensitivity or allergy test before the procedure. The HA used for cosmetic injections is a clear, sterile gel that has been crosslinked more times than our own HA in order to achieve duration.
Fat reduction
Fat can be dissolved using the injectable product Kybella, a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid – a substance naturally produced by the body to aid in fat absorption. When it is injected directly into fat, the substance lyses the fat cells. Your body then metabolizes and removes the destroyed fat over the next 8 weeks. This can create a smoother more defined jawline, or reduce submental (under the chin) fullness.
Masseter/ TMJ Neurotoxin
Botulinum toxin type A (branded under the names Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeveau) can be used by injection to relax the masseter muscles. This prevents bruxism (clenching of the teeth). Unable to now clench, clients frequently find a reduction in tension headaches and jaw soreness.
The masseter muscles are also injected for aesthetic purposes to achieve an oval or slenderized face.
Botulinum toxin type A typically lasts about 6-9 months in the masseter muscle. Duration is based on dose and your metabolism.
Dosing ranges from 20-60 units per side.
Average pricing range: $560-$1500
